5 Daily Life Hacks To Prevent Breakouts

Hello Everyone! So today I have another skincare post which I think will be really helpful for a lot of my readers out there, especially us teenagers who are going through puberty and have to suffer the dreadful spots and acne scars that then cause horrible blemishes that take over our young and youthful looking faces! Thanks Mrs Puberty! But don't worry fellow victims, today I have you 5 different daily life hacks which can help to prevent even further spots and stop them getting worse!>>

1. Drink plenty of water!
Yes, I know it can be very hard to opt for water when there are all these other more desirable alternatives such as fruit juices, fizzy drinks  and energy drinks. However, water is very important in pretty much every aspect of keeping healthy. Water helps to clear out toxins in your body, keeps your skin hydrated and maintain clear and supple skin. I like to take a 1litre bottle of water to school and always make sure to refill it at lunch time meaning I will have had 2litres and more(dinner time etc) during that day. To work out how much water you should drink daily, click here to this site

2. Keep Your Hands Away From Your Face

It can be very comfortable to rest your chin on your palm during those boring math classes or constantly be fussing with your face but little did you know that these habits can actually cause spots due to the oils and bacteria on your hands which eventually build up and get clogged in your pores since we obviously don't wash out faces every 5mins. That is why it is important to wash our faces twice a day to get rid of all the bacteria and excess oils and impurities which is my next tip.

3. Building A Morning & Night Facial Regimen

I actually have a post on my own morning and night facial regimen which you should definitely go and check out here where you'll find how I go about my regimen. It is important that we wash our face twice a day to keep it fresh and vibrant for the morning and to cleanse all impurities and possibly makeup before bed. I would also recommend that you purchase or DIY some kind of exfoliator which helps to remove the layers of dead skin and deeply cleanse our pores. I will be doing a post on how to make your own DIY exfoliator. Also, you must always always moisturize your face after every wash/cleanse because if your face is dry, your skin will be producing even more excess sebum which clogs your pores and eventually cause pimples which is what we're trying to prevent here!!

4. Change Your Pillowcase Often
Over time bacteria, dirt and sweat can build up on your pillow case so it is important to wash your pillow cases and change them maybe once a week or two. A fresh, clean pillow can stop your skin from erupting overnight!

5. Get Your Beauty Sleep! 💤
Sleeping is soo important! I mean, who doesn't like sleeping and lazing around in bed with nothing else to do but relax and kickback? Us teenagers especially should be getting at least 8-9hours of sleep and a little less for adults. Stress can also lead to breakouts so getting your beauty sleep can really save your precious face from getting out of control.

And that is all the daily life hacks I have for you guys which could help to prevent those unwanted spots! I hope this post was helpful and make sure to comment below what you think and if you have any other tips or tricks that work. Why not check out some of my other lifestyle posts?

Clean&Clear Dual Action Moisturizer Review

Welcome back to my blog everyone! So today I am going to be doing a quick review on a facial moisturizer which I have not so long ago purchased at Superdrug which is the Clean&Clear Dual Action Moisturizer.

I’ve never actually had a proper moisturizer which is specifically meant for your face. I used to just apply my normal body cream (Cocoa Butter) to my face also. Now that I am obviously more aware of the changes occurring on my face such as spots, acne scars, blemishes etc,  I decided it was about time that I got me a proper facial moisturizer to meet the needs of my face! As said earlier I got the 100ml tube about 2weeks ago at Superdrug for £2.50 I believe. This moisturizer is oil free and claims to well ofcourse moisturize and prevent spots and blemishes.

When I first used it along with my Nivea Cleanser&Toner and Garnier Exfoliating Scrub see: My Morning & Night Facial Regimen to see how this product is incorporated into my regimen, I wasn't too sure how I liked it. I used it immediately after washing and exfoliating but it made my face feel really tight and tingly. I wasn't too concerned about the tingly part (coz it was kinda nice) but my face just felt dry and as if I didn't apply a moisturizer in the first place. The next morning, I tried it again and I got similar results but my face felt at ease and not as tight but still not properly moisturized. After the third time, it was as if my skin almost adapted to it and put up with it. I began getting the wonderful results it claimed to give and my face felt so soft, smooth, and properly moisturized. I'm so glad I didn't throw it out as I was at first doubting it. The smell is pretty good but most of all it gives effective results for a reasonable price.

This post is shorter than usual but it was just a quick one. Thank you for reading guys and I hope you found it helpful. Don't forget to check out My Morning & Night Facial Regimen here
What facial moisturizers do you guys use? Feel free to comment down below.

My Morning & Night Facial Regimen

Hii Guys!! As per usual I am very sorry for not posting regularly enough but I have finalised that I will be posting once a week to start off with and that is A MUST (so no excuses, ifs or buts). As for what day, I am currently not too sure but as long as it is at least once in a week I’m good!

So moving on in proper relation to this post, I am going through some really tough times with an obsession of overly spending money on products I don’t actually need  per say. However there were some pros to this since I actually recently made myself a proper facial regimen with the right products to meet my needs (since I’ve recently been breaking out pretty bad) through shopping around and buying stuff. This post is kind of a product review and haul but its main purpose is to share with you guys my facial care regime for both morning and night time. Read on and I hope you enjoy!!>>

After brushing my teeth in the mornings, or before I go to bed, I first splash some warm water onto my face to open up my pores so they can absorb in all the luxurious goodness! I do this until my face feels a little steamy and I like to give myself a lil facial massage in the mean time. I also sometimes use the Huggies Wipes to clean my face and eye area before hand, especially if I was wearing any eye makeup that day.

1) Straight after that I squeeze my Nivea 2 in 1 Cleanser & Toner Wash onto my fingers, and start applying it all over my face in circular motions. It is quite creamy, and it feels and smells great too! Once my whole face is covered, I rinse off with some warm water.

2) Next, I get my Garnier Pure Active Exfoliating Scrub, squeeze it on my fingers and again apply in circular motions until my whole face is covered. This product also smells good and it feels sort of grainy on your face, almost like rubbing tiny grains of sugar on your face. I must say, after using this, my face felt so tingly, refreshed and sensational instantly! You know that sort of minty feeling you get with peppermint oil, the experience is amazing! But anyways, I finally rinse off the entire product off my face but this time with COOL water, to close down my pores.
I then pat/dab my face dry with a towel and move on to the final part which is moisturizing!

3) I also recently purchased the Clean & Clear Dual Action Oil-free Moisturizer as my facial moisturizer. (Btw I use the Palmers Cocoa Butter for my body in case anyone was wondering). I simply squeeze the product into my hand and rub in into my face and I am done with my facial routine.

So I use both the cleanser & toner and the moisturizer twice a day (morning and night) but the exfoliating scrub every other day before bed. Even though the product says daily, I just feel like I don’t really need it that often especially if I do my facial routine twice a day. If you guys would like to see full product reviews on any of these products, definitely comment it down below and I will do it in my next post. Thanks for reading and I hope you all enjoyed and maybe even found this useful.

What’s you guy’s facial regimens like? Do you have any favourite or staple products? Any recent skincare product purchases?

My DIY Feet Mini Makeover For Winter !!

Welcome back to my blog everyone and today I will be sharing with you a cute little method of mine I like to use to revive and refresh my feet preparing them for the upcoming spring/summer! As we all know, winter means cold, harsh, unappealing weather which further means socks, boots, and cover up shoes for 6 months straight. Now just because or feet are not bare, with some fashionable sandals or flipflops enjoying the beautiful warmth and breeze of the beach and summer, doesn’t mean they should be neglected and suffering under all the extra layers of socks and boots! I say it’s best to give them some TLC so they’ll be ready to face the upcoming summer looking gorgeous! Read on to see how I give my nails Mini Makeover!>>

Step 1)  Soak up
There's nothing better than starting by pampering your feet in some warm soapy water. You've probably been walking around a lot and your feet must be worn out and blistered so relaxing them in a little bowl of water and adding some coconut or oilve oil will really nourish  them due to their antibacterial and antifungal properties. Some sweet smelling oil such as rosemary or lavender oil will soften up and ease the tightness from your feet while making this an aromatherapy session for a good 10-15mins.

Step 1) Wash/Scrub
Now it's time to give your feet a good cleaning and wash away all the dirt and grime. Most of the time, we don't really pay too much attention to or feet during the everyday shower, bath or whatever type of wash we have. This is why I like to incorporate this step into my regimen to focus on my feet (especially between my toes and under my nails) and clean them up very well. (You can use the same soapy water if you like) Washing your feet also makes them a lot healthier and fresher.

Step 3) Exfoliate
This step is totally optional but it's just extra to remove any build up and smooth up your skin. You can either buy your own foot exfoliator, or DIY with honey, sugar or/and salt. Simply massage the mixture into your feet and let it sit for as long as you would like. I usually do about 3mins if I add in this step. If you have rough heels, you could try scrubbing down with a pumice stone (while it's wet). After this, rinse your feet with warm water and dab them dry with a towel.

Step 4) Trim & Shape
At this point, your nails should feel really soft and even slightly weaker than usual. Don't worry as they dry, they will go back to normal. What I do now is to cut them to a reasonable height and buff them with a nail file. Make sure to be careful while doing this. After cutting and shaping, I like to apply a little oil either coconut or almond to my actual nails and cuticles.

Step 5) Moisturize
Your almost done now, so all you need to do simply apply your favourite moisturizer, lotion or cream. Our skin tends to get super dry and crackly during these winter months so moisturizing is key!

Step 5) Get cosy!
Who can ever refused sticking their feet in some warm, fury, fuzzy socks during the winter, in their pj's, with some hot chocolate, in bed and on their laptop or whatever! That's personally what I love to do but it's all in your hands now. I just think it's an amazing way to round up a good feet makeover, and care session!

That's the end of my DIY Feet Mini Makeover For Winter and I hope you enjoyed reading! I would definitely recommend you guys trying out my regimen and doing it lets say once or twice a month. It takes about 30mins but I think out poor feet deserve some love and care this winter (especially if you live in London)! If you have seen my DIY Makeover for fingernails, you will probably notice that it's quite similar, if you haven't read it, go ahead and check it out here. Go ahead and tell me what you think about my routine and if you do try this out, feel free to share with me your results, I'd love to hear them!!
Thanks for reading guys, until next time..
