Grow Longer & Fuller Eyelashes/Eyebrows DIY

Hii Guys!! Welcome back to my blog! As you can tell with the title, this DIY is for those of you who want to grow your eyelashes longer and your eyebrows much fuller. Before discovering this DIY and making it my own, I used to sometimes do the vaseline method which my friend told me about but it didn’t really work for me that much and I just sort of got bored of it. Now I will share with you guys my new discovery which works wonders for me!>>

YOU WILL NEED:

For my mixture, I use castor oil, almond oil and vitamin e oil. You can alternate the versions/brands you use if you would like to. You will also need either a mascara wand (one that's clean) but a cotton bud will also do. You can also use your fingers if you want.

Process: Mix equal parts the the castor oil and almond oil together in your container. Now with the vitamin e oil, if you have the capsules use as many as you like (I use about 20) but if you have the oil already, mix an equal part of it too.

Application: Simply dip your wand/cotton bud into your mixture and apply it to your eyelashes as if you were applying mascara. You don't need too much but make sure you get both your top and bottom eyelashes. For your eyebrows, just smooth it over an that's it! You want to do this every night before bed and you should start seeing clear obvious results!

This DIY was a really quick and easy one but it works really well for me! I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I would really love to hear your results so please feel free to share them with me in the comments below!! Also, if any suggestions of DIYs that you woul like me to share, be sure to let me know also. Thank you so much for reading.

My DIY Shea Butter & Castor Oil Mix

Hello my beauties!! So I hope that you have all being enjoying my recent DIY posts and I will definitely be posting a lot more stuff since I already have a lot of ideas in mind! So today I am back into my natural hair posts and I will be sharing with you guys my Shea Butter & Castor Oil Mix Recipe.
Currently, I am in protective style for the winter (box braids) and I have had them in for 1 month and 3 weeks I believe. They are certainly getting old and I have had a lot of new growth (about 1/2 - 1 inches) so I say its time they came out and my hair had a good break and some TLC! Then I realized that my moisturizing mixture was pretty much done so I went out to get some stuff and I figured, why not I share with you all how I make it!>>

All of the pictures above are part of the ingredients for my mixture. The shea butter I used is a different version to the one in the picture but as long as you have a good quality 100% natural shea butter (preferably unrefined) then that's good enough. I also add a little bit of glycerine and you can alternate the oils you use.

Step 1: Heat up your shea butter until you have a liquidy consistency. I personally place the shea butter container inside a bowl of hot boiling water and let it sit for about 10mins.
Step 2: Next pour about half of your shea butter into your container. Now add in your castor oil, almond oil and a little bit of glycerine. Mix all these together with maybe the end of a spoon. Now get yourself a pin or toothpick, pop the vitamin e capsules and squeeze the oil from about 20-30 of them. (Keeping in mind that this process takes forever so you might want to use less vitamin e capsules or simply cut it out altogether).
Finally, place your coconut oil into the water or microwave and an let it turn to a liquid. Add as much of this as you want aswell.
Step 3: Now that your mixture is complete, make sure to mix everything together throughly and as the shea butter starts to get cold, it will solidify so when you see it doing this mix again to make sure you have a clump-free, smooth creamy mix!

How to use:
I use this mixture right after applying my African Pride Shea Butter Leave in Conitioner to detangle, then apply this to my hair strands (especially ends). I smooth it through then go over with a comb to fully detangle or finger detangle. See here for Moisturizing&Sealing Natural Hair
Since my hair is low porosity, it retains moisture very well so I don't have to re-moisturize for atleast a week or so. I also sometimes do the baggying method but click here for more detail on Moisturzing Low Porosity Hair.
*By the way this mixture is mainly for people with natural hair so like curly and kinky coily hairtypes*.

So I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I will be doing another hair related post soon since I recently went to buy a new deep conditioner so I will be reviewing that for you guys once I actually get the chance to try it out.

Thanks a bunch guys xxxx

DIY & Tips To Naturally Whiten Teeth

Hello everyone!! Today’s DIY is slightly different because it is a mixture of DIYs and tips to whiter teeth naturally. Smiling is one of every girl’s best features and when you smile you look 1000 times much prettier and your entire face just brightens up. If your teeth are not looking as good as they can for everyone to see that beautiful smile of yours then read on to find out how to can whiten and get your teeth looking their best!>>

The DIY Part:
So above is the diagram of all the ingredients that you will need and that I personally used to get whiter and brighter teeth. So first of all you have a small bowl for your small mixture; some baking soda but bicarbonate of soda will also do; lemon or lime juice depending on your preference (you can either buy a real lemon/lime and squeeze the juice out, or simply buy 100% pure lemon/lime juice if you're feeling a lil lazy). Finally you will of course need a good toothbrush.

Step 1: Put about 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda into your bowl, now these measurements aren't 100% exact so you can alter it depending on how much you use etc. Next, squeeze/pour in a little bit of lemon/lime juice and you should start to see some bubbles as there will be some sort of chemical reaction going on. At this stage, you want to apply either more or less of your baking soda and lemon/lime juice until you get a nice, thick toothpaste-like consistency.

Step 2: Now dip your toothbrush into the small bowl and brush your teeth thoroughly for about 2mins, making sure you get the mixture all around. Also make sure not to brush your tongue with it and be gentle when brushing so you do not damage anything. Only recommended to do this maybe twice a week or so. Make sure to follow up with toothpaste or a mouthwash to freshen up your breath after!

The Tips:
.Try to brush your teeth twice a day; once in the morning and once before bed. Too much can severely damage your teeth and guns etc.
. Floss your teeth daily mainly after meals to remove any thing the toothbrush missed.
.Use a good minty mouthwash to freshen up your breath and give you a nice, clean sensational feel.
.If your teeth are not in shape, make sure to visit your dentist to get braces or retainers. Also make sure to go for checkups with your dentists every 6 months.
. Finally, just smile!!!  : )

And that's all from me today! So I hoped this post actually helped someone out there because it was just a really random idea that popped into my head. Also I'm really sorry that I have not posted the other two leibster awards and the versatile award I was nominated for but I've just been really busy lately. They will be coming up soon don't worry, I haven't ignored you!!

DIY Nails Mini Makeover

Seriously guys, you should be soo proud of me!  I mean like come on, three posts in a week? That must be some personal world record! Lool I’m kidding but first of all I just really want to say that I am extremely grateful for all of my awesome followers and every ones support. Literally my followers on bloglovin’ are soaring up by the day and my comments are also increasing. I mean if you look at it its hardly much but to me it’s a great amount to me so thank you very much and keep it up guys, well appreciated!!

So today I wanted to let you guys in on how to get your nails looking pretty much flawless!! Your nails really say a lot about you since these days we are often pre-judged based on out outer appearance, but you really want to avoid sending the wrong messages with dirty, stubby, untamed and just unpleasant looking nails. Read on to find out how I give my nails a cute little makeover when they need it>>

So before you start off, you wanna make sure that you have removed any nail polish and fake nails. For this makeover you will need; a warm bowl full of sudsy water; a towel and hand cloth; your nail utensils e.g nail clip, file, buffer, cuticle pusher etc; a cream/lotion and finally some glamorous nail polish if you wish.

Step 1: Soak your hands into the warm water of soap and let it sit for 5-10mins.This really softens up your nails so it's easier to push back the cuticles. It also sanitises your hands and nails from germ and bacteria stuff and  feels very relaxing. Afterwards rinse your hand with warm water and dry with your towel/hand cloth.

Step 2: Now if you nails are too long you can cut them to a desired size with a nail clipper. You can also file them to maintain a good shape and stop them growing too long. Buff your nails starting with the coarser side and then the finer side for fresh shiny nails. After, if you need to, push back your cuticles with a cuticle pusher but be very gentle so you don't hurt yourself.

Step 3: Moisturize your hand with a good cream or lotion. I personally love the Palmers Cocoa Butter but there are many other choices out on market. This stops your hands becoming dry, flaky and really softens and smooths them up. You can also apply a bit to your nails; other alternatives for your nails are vaseline or an oil.

Step 4: Once your done, you can choose to paint your nails in all sorts of colours, patterns and designs. If you're like me and your school doesn't allow you to paint you nails, you can either skip this step or bend the rules a little and use a clear/transparent nail varnish.

That's all from me today! I hope you enjoyed and you'll try out this cute little DIY. Please comment down below and let me know what you think. Tysm for reading and have a nice day!! xxxxx

My DIY Lipscrub!!

Hello Guys!! Welcome back to my page. So as you have probably guessed by the title of this post, I’ve decided to switch things up a bit with the type of things I will be posting. I just got a bit bored with only posting hair related stuff and I thought well I quite enjoy doing a lot of DIYs so I thought why not share it all with you guys?!

Here in London, it is winter and like super, super cold. It is so inconvenient and just gets in the way of everything! One of the cons of winter is that your lips start to get indecent and just not pleasant to look at due to the harsh weather. This is what made me think that it was time for me to transform my dry, chapped, crusty lips into beautiful, soft, supple and kissable ones! If you want to find out how I managed this, read on>>
You are going to need something similar to the above ingredients so a container to make your mixture in; sugar to act as the actual scrub and exofoliant; honey for softness and moisture; coconut oil (or any other oil of choice) to nourish, penetrate and heal the lips; and finally your favourite lip balm (I usually use chapstick, nivea, baby lips or vaseline- in this case the chapstick for the gorgeous pinky coloring).

1) Start off with adding your sugar into your container, there isn't really a specific measurement but just do whatever you prefer or just what looks right to you. Next you add in the honey and start mixing with a spoon. Now I don't particularly use a lot off  the honey but that's just a personal preference. Afterwards add in about half a tablespoon of  your oil and finally the lip balm. Mix it all up and add more sugar for a grainier mix or add more honey for a stickier, creamier mix.

2) Finally you put your mixture into small containers (like the one of the right) and  place it in the fridge then you are all set!

I used this mixture only 3 times in one week and I got fab results! The great thing about this is that it is edible so I suppose it's a win win; luxious lips with a yummy mix. You can never go wrong! So I hope you guys enjoyed this post and you would like me to post more fun DIYs like this in the future. I would love to know in the comments down below. Thanks guys, ILYSM xxxx
